Description |
The point of departure for the work is a sentence from the "Magic Flute" by W. A. Mozart and E. Schikaneder, in which Pamina describes how her father created the "Magic Flute" from the "thousand year old Ash tree". (This is a slight hint at the prequel, which Mozart and Schikaneder unfortunately did´t get around to) At the same time the work gives a new slant on the Fantasy tradition for flute of the 19th century. |
